“ This place is popping! I came right when they opened at 5pm, and it was already packed. It's a small, super popular noodle place right near university and I can understand why. The portions are big and it was affordable. It's a quick dine in experience where you order on the iPad and pay immediately before you get the food. We got the spicy beef noodle soup, spicy beef rib (bone-in) noodle soup, and spicy lamb (bone-in) noodle soup. The beef was super tender, and the radish that came with it complements the dish and oiliness of it. I'm not a big fan of lamb since it's a bit gamey for me, but if you like lamb, you'll probably enjoy that one. The spicy wasn't spicy to me but it made the dish very oily. I'd go for the regular version next time so I can taste the broth better. By the time we finished around 5:30pm, there was a long line outside. ”
“ very flavorful broths and incredible portions of noodle for the price. the chili wontons were somewhat sweet rather than spicy which can be off-putting if you are expecting CHILI wontons, but otherwise still taste pretty good. the lamb brisket noodle soup tasted nice, but the meat itself was really chewy and hard to eat because they were huge pieces. i was unable to bite off any pieces of the meat so i had to save it as leftovers to eat messily in the privacy of my own home :) ultimately, it's not the BEST noodle soup you'll have, but a very worth-it spot for its price and is one of the better food places in the area. for this reason, there tends to be long lines to be prepared for. as someone who sometimes prefers less social interaction, i like the ordering method as both ordering and payment is done directly on the tablets provided upon being seated. our meals came out at a fairly quick speed which i admire as well. ”
“ Wow. I got the vegetable noodle soup with thick noodles and it was amazing. The broth was so flavorful and everything cooked so well! The noodles were just the right amount of soft and chewy. Food arrived quick even though we came 30 minutes before closing and there was still a line! Although the line moves quick. The place is always packed and it is crowded. They have a couple of larger tables although I think with a larger party it might be more difficult to get a seat. The noodle soup was around 15$ and a huge serving! The only critique would be that it would need some protein (maybe tofu) to be satiating. ”
“ Highly recommended for those who are nearby! It is a great place to warm your body with nice noodle soup. Plus, it's good if a line is waiting outside every time. The line is very structured, and if you are looking for a to-go, don't wait. Just go in, and you'll get help immediately. The line could be extended; we waited about 30 minutes during lunchtime, but with a quick table turn, we could seated once the seats were ready. It has a great ambiance and a mom-and-pop vibe as the food comes out quickly while you enjoy the meal as long as possible. We ordered beef noodle soup -with medium spice (I usually get mild, but it was great to order medium at this location; it's not too spicy), lamb skewers, and Man tou *bread. It was the best combination we have ever ordered. I would love to revisit the place; hopefully, the line won't be long the next time I visit. ”
“ Nothing like a steaming bowl of noodle soup to warm you up inside on a rainy day. My favorite is the pickled cabbage and fish noodle soup, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. ”
“ Let me tell you... the portions here are meal-prep worthy but you have to be willing to wait in a LONG line. I came here on a Friday night (~5:30 pm) and didn't get in to eat until almost 7. Thankfully, the food comes out verrryyy quickly so it wasn't a long wait after going inside. The beef is super tender and the noodles have the perfect amount of chewiness! I don't think the spice level at either low or regular is intolerable, but I picked low spice because I'm not a huge fan of the chilis floating around at the regular spice level. Again, you'll have leftovers for days from this place, making it super worth your while. I would caution against coming with huge groups though.. the tables are tiny, and with a group of 7 we were packed into the small hallway section like sardines LOL. If you have the time and appetite, definitely come here! ”
“ I totally get the hype. We came to the storefront and found that it was absolutely packed with a huge line flowing out the door. The interior was a bit small but it seemed nice and cozy inside. We got takeout and ate it at home, not wanting to deal with the loud, packed space. Beef Noodles (5/5): Wow!!! I don't really like noodle soups but this one blew me away. The broth was to die for, it was packed with so much flavor, you could really tell that they spent a long time brewing the beef into the soup. Noodles were absolutely delicious and had a wonderful chew, beef was so tender and basically fell apart in your mouth. Spicy Wontons (5/5): The sauce in these wontons was amazing, the chili oil had so much flavor and it was packed with garlic, green onions, ginger and sesame seeds. It was sweet, sour, and little spicy all at once, so umami! Wontons had a nice filling and bite to them, though I will say that these were cold when I first bit into them. ”
“ Best beef noodle soup I had in the bay! I don't come up to Berkeley often but this is a reason to go back!! I got the beef noodle soup 8 hr cooked broth, and my friend got the fish soup which I tried a bite of. The beef is definitely my favorite (not too fatty while still being soft which is hard to find!), and noodles are chewy without being soggy. ”
“ Summary: Tasty, affordable noods and more. Details: As an adult, I've become a little skeptical of highly rated spots near any sort of campus, because it's hard to tell if the ratings are due to actual quality food, or student budget/taste-inflation. But ever the sucker for noods, I've come back to Noodle Dynasty a few times now, and can say that they're a pretty solid eatery, but with excellent value in the form of massive servings and reasonable prices. They offer up a variety of noodle dishes, with the noodles themselves having a nice chewy texture, and the spice levels being good, though not as fiery as my partner would like. The one downside is that their dishes are all a bit on the sweet side, including whatever marinade they use for the meats in their soups. Accessibility: Large-ish restaurant, but not particularly spacious, so getting around with a chair can prove a little tricky at times, and depending on which seat you're given. ”
